Following BTS, K-pop representative group Stray Kids has also joined the boycott of the Grammy Awards. JYP Entertainment announced that Stray Kids did not submit any music for the upcoming 69th Grammy Awards. This decisive action came less than a day after the Recording Academy announced it would proceed with the controversial Asian pop category. The Grammy Awards previously drew significant controversy by establishing a separate category specifically for Asian music originating from regions like South Korea, China, and Japan. Consequently, BTS immediately declared a boycott, expressing their sincere hope that music would be appreciated for its intrinsic value rather than being divided by region or language.
