Stray Kids Opt Out of 69th Grammy Asian Pop Category
Koreaboo ·
South Korean boy band Stray Kids decided not to submit any songs or albums for the 69th Grammy Awards, effectively opting out of the newly created Asian Pop category. The decision was reported on October 2 by Sports Kyunghyang, shortly after Billboard listed the group as a top contender for the award. Their recent album This & That, released on August 7, became their ninth Billboard 200 number‑one, and its title track reached No. 38 on the Hot 100. All eight members remain voting members of the Recording Academy, but their future participation in the Grammys remains uncertain.
