Pop star Olivia Rodrigo posted a statement on her Instagram Story on Sunday, October 4, condemning Cornell University over a 2024 sexual assault lawsuit and expressing her support for the victim. The lawsuit involves allegations that seven former fraternity members drugged and sexually assaulted a plaintiff known as Jane Doe. Olivia Rodrigo criticized institutions that protect abusers while affirming her solidarity with the victim. Cornell University acknowledged that it must improve its handling of such allegations as ongoing investigations proceed.
