The agency locked Hanni's 22nd birthday playlist behind a paywall on Weverse, prompting harsh criticism from the group's supporters since she had previously shared her playlists for free every year. Meanwhile, former member Danielle also surprised fans by sharing an unexpected birthday post for Hanni. Hanni, who turned 22 on October 6, has remained mostly out of the public eye except for professional commitments along with the rest of the NewJeans members following their return to the label after a lengthy legal fight.
