Pop star Olivia Rodrigo revealed in a cover story published on Wednesday, October 7, that she purchased Meg White's vintage white dress featured on The White Stripes' Elephant album cover for an exorbitant amount of money. The singer, who has been a lifelong fan of the rock duo, hoped to wear the iconic outfit at her inaugural charity festival in August but ultimately found it too hot to wear. Julien's Auctions previously recorded the dress selling for $25,600 during a May sale, adding to the history of the garment. Her deep fandom includes previously running a fan page, meeting Jack White in 2022, and helping induct the duo into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
